school=i forget
(side note- my teacher this semester says a lot of funny and bizarre stuff: “bla bla bla let’s just do the ‘quick and dirty’ version of this” (what.), or, “boombox” (i think those make music?) but this is a technology in education course so i think maybe someone should let him know those are 90’s style…my favorite? “and they massaged the idea of product technology into their presentation…” (i don’t even know but i feel ‘quick and dirty’ just hearing about it!)..also a group said “it will all get teased out”- but don’t worry- you really don’t have to be bottomy to teach. i think. sort of.
i had a classy little name for this section but i already forgot.
school can be cool!

(tonight we talked about why be a teacher. what are your values and goals for education’s sake…of course people should have them, you know this, but it’s what they are that matter so i will put those up soon. also, did you know that there are tons of identifying classifications (gender, race, religion, etc) that you are protected against as far as discrimination or job security as a teacher go? yeah well, sexual preference is not included- homosexual teachers can and are being fired based solely on that)
Issues to think about if you want to teach:
- Justice and fairness- do you make exceptions for students in individual situations? what about if they have a very difficult home life? do you make a rule and never bend?
- Friendship- do you be friends with the students? do you give examples from your own life or do you keep your own opinions and stories out? how much?
- Getting sued- are you going to get sued? do you even realize all the things you can get sued for? (my boss at sbux says i could get sued for accusing someone of stealing- even if i saw that they did!!!)
- Many other things- i will write about them later. maybe. i hope.
if you want to be a teacher, you better have a lot of motivational reasoning for it. if not you will burn out and die a cold life of a teaching career type thing.
i’m going to make a great teacher.
