B.E.P. Boom Boom Pow = unfortunately catchy
(This is a fast version (without the music video to hopefully get you through it painlessly?))
This song is unfortunately catchy. “Unfortunately” because it’s the Black-Eyed-Peas and they’re not singing about much of anything worthwhile. However, they’ve got these lyrics: “I’m so 3008 / You so 2000 and late” which could make a great insult. The beat is bumping (which they also mention). They effectively sing-rap about “boom-boom-pow” which is their beat-sound. And it’s good. It has bumpin’ bass, vocoder, JT-esque segments, fadeins&outs, and boomin in general. I have to approve no matter how much I try to not. The video’s just future-scary, but overall it’s a decent mindless dance song. Good for working out?

Q-Tip’s “Vivrant Thing” Review
Q-Tip: Vivrant Thing (edited)
Quality lyrics & message- Quality lyrics/message- positive message about relationships- respects his lady, uses a unique word “vivrant” to describe their interaction, they can have conversations, he shows his commitment- “imprinted on my mind every minute, make my plans and you always in it”. Conversely, he does ask her to shake it at the end, which is necessary in life, but kind of tired in music.
Catchy beat- if it weren’t for the lyrics it might get a little repetitive, but that means it’s good for dancing and bumpin when you want mindlessness. Could get boring, but there is a nice break 2mins in.

*Note* This review if for the audio song & lyrics only- I only provide a video for listening references. I will make no comment on this video, thanks.*

Fergie “Fergalicious” Review – Catchy, fun, and bumpin
1) Favorite part-”Fergalicious-def-def-def-def” fading into Fergalicious definition….
2) It’s horribly catchy. I surprisingly still like it more than 70% of the time I hear it. But I also didn’t hear it getting way overplayed initially radio-stizzle.
3) I will argue that it actually has some unique quality parts, that is, if you’re not completely annoyed by her or her sound in general.
4) It deserves credit for: wide variety of sound, vibe, beat, ~feel~ between verses, choruses, and bridges, and she even uses some Spanish (…right…)
Overall I recommend it for dancing, workinout, and most likely when you’re by yourself.

Raid vs. Raid
this is madvillainy. that means madlib and mf doom got together and made a whole album. it tastes good.
i even got to hear this song live, had no idea, that MED was featured in it as well. if i talked about people based solely on their looks, i would tell you that MED is ‘hot’.
my main points are these:
1) this song tastes like Easter if it tasted like a holiday that I had to choose
2) old jazz standard.
