Watch Out for West Nile – My Cousin in California Got It
I not only know the 4th Californian to get West Nile Virus, I am also related to him. We’re second cousins. And I’m happy to say that he is on the recovery, and that he will even be attending the Fresh Cut Salads concert tomorrow! No need for everyone to come to gawk at the celebrity, but if you want to come for the good music, and to cheer on the world, you should. It’s at Doc Watson’s pub in Philly. I’m excited to see both of them.
I remember back in the day when Michigan had bad mosquitoes in the air. You must beware! Nary a safe mosquito bite, carry they might . . . the W.N.virus.
In other news, I’m awesome dot com. I have learned how dogs breed, and learned the hard way, because I had to convince them that they weren’t supposed to move for a while. We are all keeping our fingers crossed for Bella to get pregnant, because she is the cutest thing ever to me. Ever. (Cats too, but she is definitely more sociable).
It’s great weather out here in the fine Philadelphia area. Come join me as I plan to take over the world, one blog at a time.

Q-Tip’s “Vivrant Thing” Review
Q-Tip: Vivrant Thing (edited)
Quality lyrics & message- Quality lyrics/message- positive message about relationships- respects his lady, uses a unique word “vivrant” to describe their interaction, they can have conversations, he shows his commitment- “imprinted on my mind every minute, make my plans and you always in it”. Conversely, he does ask her to shake it at the end, which is necessary in life, but kind of tired in music.
Catchy beat- if it weren’t for the lyrics it might get a little repetitive, but that means it’s good for dancing and bumpin when you want mindlessness. Could get boring, but there is a nice break 2mins in.
(100 words including made up combos)
*Note* This review if for the audio song & lyrics only- I only provide a video for listening references. I will make no comment on this video, thanks.*

Fergie “Fergalicious” Review – Catchy, fun, and bumpin
1) Favorite part-”Fergalicious-def-def-def-def” fading into Fergalicious definition….
2) It’s horribly catchy. I surprisingly still like it more than 70% of the time I hear it. But I also didn’t hear it getting way overplayed initially radio-stizzle.
3) I will argue that it actually has some unique quality parts, that is, if you’re not completely annoyed by her or her sound in general.
4) It deserves credit for: wide variety of sound, vibe, beat, ~feel~ between verses, choruses, and bridges, and she even uses some Spanish (…right…)
Overall I recommend it for dancing, workinout, and most likely when you’re by yourself.
(100 words including made up combos)
**As usual, I don’t approve of the video, so luckily embedding was disallowed go to youtube to see it so you can hate it or love it while listening and reading.**

Raid vs. Raid
this is madvillainy. that means madlib and mf doom got together and made a whole album. it tastes good.
i even got to hear this song live, had no idea, that MED was featured in it as well. if i talked about people based solely on their looks, i would tell you that MED is ‘hot’.
my main points are these:
1) this song tastes like Easter if it tasted like a holiday that I had to choose
2) old jazz standard.
(82 words, without much coherent content, but with great videos!)

the veggie oil bus people are coming to Fresh Cut Salads!
Sometimes I get so excited I can’t contain it. Now is one of those times. The world just feels all right. Real Thing oh yeah.
I stopped by Whole Foods in between jobs on the night of the Fresh Cut Salads concert at the World Café Live. I saw a gigantic bus parked in the lot covered in ads from healthy brands that reminded me of the documentary Go Further that Mruk und I once watched/bought. I didn’t have time to stop and see what the bus was about, but on my way out I peeked a little sign that said something about ‘running on waste vegetable oil’ and I had to stop.
The project is called Conscious Goods Alliance and they are traveling across the country in this veggie oil run bus to spread awareness about the environment, over consumption, alternative fuels, and are sponsored by some companies/brands that make products that are ‘eco-friendly’ like Dr. Bronner’s.
The girl I talked to in the bus said she liked World Café Live (she was from NY and had just recently joined the bus tour). I said my friends’ band the Fresh Cut Salads were playing there and she liked the name. I had to go though after our nice chat.
Sure enough, as soon as I was halfway home, talking to Freshly Cut Mruk, and he said “Did you invite them to our concert?” I said I kind of did. Kind of is not good enough for the number one fan/promoter/motivator/informal manager of this fine band.
So I turned around, went back, introduced myself to two more of the bussers standing outside the store at a table. It was funny, at first the guy was like ‘Yeah we have a pretty tight schedule’ but after we talked for a while they were like ‘Cool! That sounds awesome! We actually don’t have anything to do tonight and we’re not from the area, so…’ I even went as far as giving my cell phone to make sure the possibility would be concrete.
I called Mruk and told him to think that they were already coming and to email the rest of the Fresh to have them in that mindset. I knew they just had to.
And they are. They’re coming. They called and said at first they were thinking of taking public transportation because their headlight was out, but then they decided to stop somewhere to get one and they plan on coming tonight! The Veggie Bus Hippies are coming!!!
To be continued….

Bunch of Eyes
Fresh Cut Salads, live at the Northstar Bar, playing Bunch of Eyes, one of my favorite songs.
Although Chad says it’s their ‘last song’, it was actually their third or fourth song. Probably because last time they played at Northstar their set was way too short so it was a good joke for us Fresh Cut Salads veterans.
I may or may not have taken the video, so let me know if you like the ‘special effects’.
It was a really good show. Lively set, a couple of amusingly rowdy crowd fans, a band who had played before them made a disparaging comment early on in the set, only later to be flabbergasted, awed, and confused (but excited) about them as I observed.
Another guy was so into them he chatted them up for twenty minutes outside afterwards.
But no. They will not change their name to ‘Fresh Cut Gonzales’ no matter what anyone says.

check out my band!
no it’s not a real band. not really. not really yet let’s say. it’s actually just several short and unfinished? songs. pajama moonshine and the history adjusters is the name, and it’s pretty weird. you might be weird too and i love you for reading my ‘blog’ thanks!
so the fresh cut salads, a real band, had TWO shows this weekend! they were righteously rockin and i want some pictures of them (or me dancing and looking grood at them) up here. for now, check out the link on my blog to their blog- visions of the inner salad. yeah hit that up!
i got promoted to shift lead position at my starbuckianstore and i am doing some business building with Arbonne International, a deliciously tasty skin care and makeup company. if you want to have or throw a party for it, let me know.
if you’re not checking out popurls you’re not really living. did you hear about the journalist imprisoned for not giving up footage of a protest?!?!
those concerts were hot, and i loved those fresh cut salads, as usual. they inspire me to not procrastinate. sort of. i’m hoping to someday play another song with this great collaboration of a team. i also had some good conversations about random unmentionables all the while and i loved the shows, yes, i truly did.

i don’t have the time or energy to resize things.
