I Can Do Anything! (And So Can YOU)

I am almost finished teaching Spanish and Italian at a summer school (three weeks long). Do I speak Italian? Well, I know more know than I did when I went there. Am I fluent in Spanish? After one year of it in high school, are you kidding me?! But I can basically read any high school level text and understand it pretty well.

I didn’t really agree to the job, but I never fully disagreed either (and believe me I was going to quit those first few days). I sucked it up, and started preparing and planning and learning Spanish and Italian right along with those kids.

So maybe they have started to get a little bit out of control recently (some of them), but overall they have given me positive feedback. And their grades are great (easy tests on my part?) Cut me some slack – remember – these languages are not my specialty.

But I again have confirmed to myself that I can do anything. And I have had some tough trials and tribulations in life.

So, my friend, you too, can do anything- Anything you set your mind to!
