Mmm

Somethin so nice about it bein cool outside and how it’s now time fo sweatshirts mmmyes. Yeah so about that coffee shop book store. Recently I was also discussing buying this club in Costa Rica and having it be a club by night and bookstore/food/coffee shop by day. We’d definitely sell nice fruit shakes with mint chocolate chip big wheels in them. We’d occasionally play things like Jay-z and Linkin Park to call to varied musical tastes, and we’d fo sho say “Are you drinkin or drivin?” (Yes, that’s right. My bottomy boss asks that to people and it makes me sick, especially early in the morning). I’m going to MI next week for Adrianne’s wedding woohoo. Oh fall, what a special time you are. And it’s getting darker and colder each morning as I half walk half sleep on the way to work. Miss you whoever you are. Party time now because I finished my 20 minute presentation and I can sleep in oh yeah yeah!

Happy Fall

If you haven’t checked out www.exactasty.com’s main page, I suggest now doing so, though I don’t really know why. Last night I had a lovely time in the hot tub with two of me lady friends, singing songs and hippin the hop, not to mention enjoying a little bubbly. I’ve been quite successfully procrastinating an ugly 20 minute presentation on no one you know…ugh schoolwork. Can I quit yet? Ho ho ho. I went to Kempton this weekend for a little renewable resource type conference and saw large horses and ate asian pears and learned more about veggie oil conversions which I would hope to get one day if I ever got that diesel bee em dub. Someday I want to open a coffee shop book store- survey- where should I open it?

ROOTS

So I went to the Roots concert on Frizzity. It was AWESOME!!! It started off with a live marching band coming down the aisles…they were from New Orleans. There were also tres cool special guests such as Jill Scott oh yeah! After the show they marched into the streets of Philly for a lil bit and we got to meet the percussionist and he signed our tickets!!! It was amazing.

Horsebird is conjugial with the woman I talked about earlier who comes into the coffee shop multiple times a day. I don’t think she has a home, she really just walks about and drinks coffee and later finds horsebird after days have passed.

We watched a movie in my class about a nerdy boy who gets chased by his classmates for having an oversized backpack with multicolored bears on it. (He eventually finds a girl with the same backpack, also running away from her classmates). It was odd and hilarious- the teacher is from Ireland and always brings in weird oldschool Irish filmies.

I work work work and occasionally go to school. Sleeeeeep on the weekends. This is my life for now. Okay bye.

Horsebird!!!

Horsebird is a crazy crazy animal that lives. It lives. And it shops at Whole Foods with its little hoovies pushing the cart along its merrily way. It makes a shrill whining noise that gets louder as it preys on your unsuspecting psyche in the night. I could go on and on but you really kind of have to hear horsebird to understand. Marky Mark made a crazy shake with aloe vera and I’m scared of it still even after drinking it. I have been going to work half asleep and even the coffee doesn’t wake me up anymore. That’s okay because we’re going to the Roots Friday…oh yeah and row 5 seats oh yeah…walk time now hoping to meet our beloved horsebird.

Contrabandits

Mrak and I had a hankering for some contraband last night. We headed out for Wendy’s so he could do the old Frosty through the straw and I my Frosty ‘n’ Fries combo. Upon arrival, I decided to just get a chicken sandwich. He got his straw alright, but very soon after that I sucked upon it too hard and it broke. My chicken sandwich was delightful, so much so, in fact, that Mark wanted one too. And I hadn’t gotten that Frosty…so off we headed into the night. The night ended us up at a second Wendy’s in a totally different city. We hid the food and ordered more chicken and more Frosties and got a new straw. And McDonald’s righteously claims ‘Fries are back!’ Back from where or what escapade? We may never know. All I know is I got some good contraband two times over.

Happy Labor Day

I had a wonderful weekend and it ain’t even over yet. Friday night we went down to Philly to see Engine Down’s last concert. I didn’t really know their stuff but they were pretty cool. My favorite things? A tie between: 1. People absolutely rockin out singing all the words and dancing to every song. and 2. When the band would get into it and gyrate about sweat would fly and spray everywhere, mostly coming from their hair, some dripping down the arms, and occasionally it would reach the audience. Saturday night the Fresh Cut Salads played at the C&S club=AWESOME. Then a girl told us about swamp thing, a lady who was army crawling through the woods in their back yard holding a rubber ball in one hand and a dead cell phone in the other and came to join their engagement party until the cops and her mother showed up and said she was trying to look into people’s windows. Odd. Saw 40 year old virgin, which was pretty funny and had a good message so I’d recommend it if you’re into that sort of thing. I’m hungry now so I must go and fetch me a picnic. I also recommend watching the 9th Teen Girl Squad

Back to school

I have now had the first of each of my two graduate courses and I will say this…they are serious about themselves. It’s nice to only have each once a week, but it also means I will forget to do work and procrastinate more over time. The good news is that I am pretty interested in them so far. I almost bought a used BMW but lost the auction boohoo. Someday I will get a car, after all, I’m makin the big bucks from the tipping and the whatnot. Some people are coffee monsters and come in like two to three times every day. I’m in love with one woman who comes in wearing different 70’s sporting getups and orders her same iced coffee with room for cream and no lid and am under the impression that she just wanders around all day drinking coffee and looking hip (I saw her walking after work one day and others have reported seeing her walking about, even outside of BA). Today I made up my own drink up because I feel bad asking people to make me drinks (I’m not allowed to use the espresso machine yet) and it tasted pretty durn good. It was later suggested that I start pushing selling my own ’special’ drinks, you know, just nonchalantly being like ‘hey would you like to try my special today?’ I’m sure the boss would really like that as he hates me already. Just kidding ho ho ho is anyone else mad tired up in here? Zzzzz
